Great Lakes Restoration in Pennsylvania

Federal Investments are Producing Results in Pennsylvania

Federal investments to restore and protect the Great Lakes are producing results for communities around Pennsylvania. Habitat restoration at the Roderick Wildlife Reserve means native plants and animals are returning. Toxic pollution around places like Presque Isle Bay is being cleaned up and contained, bringing people back to their waterfronts.

But Serious Threats Remain

Invasive species out-compete native species for resources in Lake Erie. And to keep drinking water and wastewater safe, Pennsylvania needs $31.251 billion over the next 20 years to repair and replace crumbling infrastructure. We need the federal government to continue partnering with Pennsylvania to invest in Great Lakes restoration and affordable water infrastructure to protect our lakes.
