2021 Great Lakes Conference

October 6 – 7, Milwaukee, Wisc.

The Healing Our Waters – Great Lakes Coalition will be hosting a Great Lakes Conference October 6-7, 2021, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

We hope you can join us!

The decision to have a conference was made with care. We consulted with our staff, Governance Board, local host committee, and Coalition members, weighing the pros and cons and safety considerations. Ultimately, we decided it was safe to hold a conference as vaccinations increase and cases go down, along with state restrictions on travel and meetings being lifted. Our members also stated an increased comfort level with gathering as these changes take place.

The conference will be similar but slightly different from previous years. It will still occur over 2 days, but we’ll be having fewer breakout sessions and more plenaries on key topics and more time for informal conversations and networking. And we’ll still have the popular field trips. However, we will be limiting the number of attendees and will host sessions in larger rooms or even outside, if possible.

After such a long period of limited interactions, we want this to be a space for building connections and sharing ideas. As the conference planning moves forward, we will share registration information and updates on the agenda. Any questions can be sent to Celia Haven at HavenC@nwf.org
