Tamara from Onaway, Mich., sends us this photograph, about which she writes:
“My passion is nature, and I try very hard to get photos of things that are purely natural. Not hindered by concrete or wires, or other forms of civilization. I particularly like finding spots of beauty overlooked, or missed. There are many to appreciate, when we slow down and see them. I have passed this river many times and never had the camera with me, and this time I did. And when I slowed down to pull off the road, I caught a glimpse of red coat, and passed the river and turned around and slowly crept back to it. This is the Ocqueoc River, between Onaway and Rogers City, and the subjects are a rare treat to behold. I see deer in the field all the time, and crossing the road even more often. But this pretty little doe paused to pose for me. And what a gorgeous pose she made, with her new fawn in the middle of a beautiful river setting. Catching this shot was the true prize for me. She has also inspired me to keep watching for those magic moments in nature. And to keep my camera handy.”
Good advice! Thanks, Tamara, for sharing this photo.
