CAMPING, CAMPING, CAMPING

This story comes to us from Ian who is entering the story contest in the children’s category.   Ian, 7, lives in Western Springs, IL; he sent us a hand-drawn picture of his tent.

CAMPING, CAMPING, CAMPING

Last summer, I went to the beach in Michigan.  Before we get to the beach, we eat breakfast.  Last summer, we went camping too.  The camping part was the best part.  Because me and my little brother Colin slept in our own tent.  Our Mom and Dad slept in their own tent.  Our Dad cooked dinner and breakfast on the fire.  Me and my little brother also got to sleep in a triangle tent.  That was the best part about my camping trip.  Then we went to the farmer’s market to buy some Michigan corn.  We also had Michigan corn at the campgrounds.  Then we went to lunch.  Then we got some ice cream.  Then we got some gas and hit the road!  We missed Michigan but we were sad.  But when we got home, we weren’t sad!  We missed Michigan.
