Lake trout make surprising comeback in Niagara River

Scientists recently discovered that lake trout are reproducing in the Niagara River. The fish usually only spawn on lake reefs.

The finding could advance efforts to increase the lake trout population in Lake Ontario. The research project was funded by the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.   Read more here.
