Rocky reefs are helping lake sturgeon recover

Rocky reefs installed in the St. Clair River are improving fish spawning conditions in the waterway.

Michigan Sea Grant is using a Great Lakes Restoration Initiative grant on a project that will install nine rocky reefs in the St. Clair River, north of Detroit. Massive, iconic lake sturgeon are aleady converging on the reefs. Read more here.
