Seventeen years ago, concerned citizens in our area forced the government to list Presque Isle Bay as an Area of Concern and it is a shame that this many years later our fish still have tumors and our waters are still not restored. Our Lake Erie embayment, fronted by the City of Erie, and our tributaries have been the recipients of so much industrial and municipal waste that more than 80 percent of the watershed is sickened.
