Two groups—Restore America’s Estuaries and the Coastal Society—have announced their First Annual National Summit: Inspiring Action, Creating Resilience. Coupled with this announcement is a call for proposals.
This meeting brings together the 7th National Summit on Coastal and Estuarine Restoration and the 24th Biennial Meeting of the Coastal Society, and will happen November 1-5, 2014 at the Gaylord National Convention Center just outside Washington, D.C.
The Summit Program is looking for proposals that speak to “all aspects of coastal and estuarine restoration and management, in all habitats, at all scales, and all regions, including the Great Lakes and international locales.” A focus on management and restoration lessons learned and a presentation of best practices will also be sought after. Proposals for this meeting are due February 28, 2014. Specific information about the call for proposals and the meeting as a whole can be found on the conference site or in this detailed PDF.
