Eric Sharp, outdoor writer for the Detroit Free Press, has been an unwavering and outspoken advocate for saving the Great Lakes from the onslaught of invasive species, and he should be commended.
In today’s column, Sharp hits the nail on the head:
“You can make a difference. Stay on your congressmen with letters and e-mails and phone calls. Don’t believe that your voice isn’t important. One call about an issue probably won’t get their attention. Twenty probably won’t get them worried. But 200 could get them looking into it, and 2,000 could get them writing legislation.”
