Obama Administration Names Great Lakes Advisory Board Members

The Obama Administration last week unveiled the names of its Great Lakes Advisory Board. The panel representing environmental, business, academic, tribal and governmental interests will help support implementation of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative. The 16-member board includes Healing Our Waters-Great Lakes Coalition Field Director Jennifer Hill. EPA announcement and list of board members can be found here.

    This is a great president. The trick will be to get it embraced by future presidents kind of like the EPA is now.

    There exist 4.3 million registered boaters that contribute $10 billion of economic benefit to the Great Lakes. There is not one individual named to the advisory board to represent them.
